Pebbles Strikes Again...

Stacie (aka Pebbles) and I spent the better part of 2 hours fixing light and cake so we could have a few more decent images for her pastry website (www.pebblespastries.com). I think we did ok. I used Nikon D300 with 2 SB-800s triggered by the camera (thanks to Dré "McNally" Milford's Lesson on Nikon CLS), through an 80-200mm f/2.8 lens. Shutter was set at 1/80secs, aperture f/9 and ISO200. Group A SB-800 was set at M 1/4 power, while Group B was set to M 1/8 power...

Yes you did ok.:-) Love the composition on the first one.. colours are vivid and the placement of the raspberries work. The apple cheesecake, once again colours are excellent and complementary and I like the wetness which emphasizes the texture of the apple...Great job my friend and they all just look downright tasty! (For such great feedback will you get your friend to give me a discount? Lol!)

PS: Have you thought about exploring different coloured backgrounds? I thought the last cake (it looks wonderful as is) would have done well with a coloured background.

I agree about the coloured background. Thanks for your comment. I will try different colours on the next upcoming shoot and see what works. Re the discount umm, that's for Pebbles to decide, but you can get some of the pastry that I get from her for sure! =D
