The Upper Room

The morning sun streamed through the windows as I entered the room. The watchman uttered how messy it was, but I was in awe. Situated at the top of Simms Hall at Jamaica College, this room was not very accessible to the general school population, thus keeping its 'reverence' intact. The walls of this holy place bore graffiti and signatures of past students dating back to 1950s, even those of currently prominent Jamaican icons. I didn't spend enough time to see if it dated further back, but the room was laden with rich history... if only walls could speak.
